Last Monday at the Representations of the European Commission in Wroclaw was held a debate devoted to the actual Wroclaw’s multiculturalism and interculturalism. It was attended by representatives of Wrocław’s national and ethnic minorities, residents of Wrocław with migration experience, representatives of the city and non-governmental organizations.
We discussed the past position of the multicultural community in Wrocław and the challenges that await us in the near future. Together with the audience, we wondered how to live well despite all the differences; how to face prejudices, xenophobia, nationalism and how to give everyone equal opportunities in accessing things and services that have other city citizens.
The discussion was very lively and showed that Wrocław civil society is ready enough to accept challenges in the field of joint intercultural activities.
Thank you to all participants and co-organizers. It was a great evening. See you next time!
