We invite you to participate in the new edition of WrOpenUp! It is addressed to secondary school students and includes two workshops and an individual competition task. There are three vouchers for an online course on the educational platform MasterClass to be won in the competition. Recruitment lasts until October 15, 2020.
While creating the concept of this year’s educational offer, WrOpenUp focused on the key features of the present day — volatility and uncertainty. Today one of the most desirable competences is readiness for change. The year 2020 has clearly shown how important it is. Therefore, the fourth edition of the WrOpenUp project is different from the rest. This year’s edition encourages WrOpenUp to take advantage of the restrictions imposed by this year and make them an asset.
How to take part?
- Until November 15, ask your teacher to register you for participation via the form: https://forms.gle/LhqaK7ZDGWUNrpgo6
- Take part in two free online workshops:
November 24, 2020 (10:00 – 13:00) — Intercultural competence
November 21, 2020 (10:00 – 14:00) — Design Thinking
- By December 15, record and share a short speech in which you talk about how you can use the knowledge and skills acquired in the workshop. And win a prize!
Competition task. The participants’ task is to record and share the so-called Elevator Pitch, in which they will talk about how they will use / can use the knowledge and skills gained in the workshops. Notes on the task: the film lasts 60-90 seconds; the text delivered by the author is 200-250 words long; you do not have to show your face, you can use e.g. background or slides. The participants publish the film themselves on a private YouTube channel.
Workshops educate the skill of critical thinking. They learn to recognize, analyze and evaluate arguments in order to make decisions, recognize errors in arguments, verify information, to engage in a constructive conversation and in action.
